As of this week The Black Sheep are back in the studio recording for their 2nd record.
There’ll be daily updates on facebook, including photos from the studio and new videos on youtube every once in a while.

Cardinal Sessions, a group of young photographers and filmmakers from Cologne and Essen, took charge of the Volksgarten in Cologne with The Black Sheep.
The product of that wonderful sunny day in august are two beautiful videos of us performing songs acoustically.

Next Saturday The Black Sheep will be performing as the closing act for the Music World Summer Festival in Augsburg.
With the help of ROLAND instruments it’ll promise to be an interesting concert featuring smaller and larger technical gadgets. Such as an half electrical and half acoustic drum set.

Charly will be back on the road as a guest musician for the German power–metal-legends RAGE who will be playing some unplugged shows this year.
She will be accompanying them on vocals, guitar, violin and cajon.

But The Black Sheep will be on the road again as a band in no time. The first dates in the summer have already been booked.
The first one will be on the 27.06. in Frankfurt for the world cup in women’s soccer.

This week the brand new Musicstore will be opening its doors. Not only are we excited to take a look at the new store but we will also be presenting Software and instruments by ROLAND on the 18th of Mai.

Next week Charly and Johanna will be visiting the PALM EXPO which is one of the biggest music exhibitions in China. They will be playing at the “Monkey Banana” booth, a producer of studio speaker. Charly can already be seen on the company’s posters.
We of course hope that this will help us get out foot in the door of the music business in China. And who knows what 2012 might bring…

Charly and Johanna gave an interview to Melodiva.de, a site for female music networking in which they spoke about their experience and presentations at the fair.

Last October The Black Sheep played their Crystal Ceiling Tour with a replacement bassist. We are officially announcing Aurora’s departure from the band and would like to introduce Lea as our new bassist.

At last we have uploaded an English version of our website, so that fans from all over the world can read what we are up to.
The language can be selected on the start page and slowly we’ll start to translate all sections, maybe we will even open up an international streetteam.

The women’s Music online magazine “Melodiva” published an interview with questions concerning our past, future, musical career and the recurring question if women have it more difficult in the music industry.

As we can imagine, most of our usual German fans won’t be attending, but we still wanted to tell you guys, that next week we will be playing at the Giro Rock 2010 festival in Carloforte (Sardinia).
We’ve never played so far from home, and we’re looking forward to the Italian audience.
We’ll definatly post some pictures from our “Vacation”.

Our video has now been online for a couple of days and hopefully all of you have downloaded the single on iTunes by now.

Our new single “Here with you” is now featured in the new movie adaptation of “Hanni & Nanni“.

On June 17th the movie will premier in German theatres. Not only does it feature a pair of adorable twins, but it also stars known actors such as: Hannelore Elsner, Anja Kling and Oliver Pocher.

The official song “Here With You” is a calm acoustic track, fitting for comfortable evenings spent at a campfire.

“It doesn’t get much better than this…..” – As If!!

The video, which we shot in Berlin in the beginning of May, is now online. The video and song will be available for download on iTunes on June 8th.

This past year, which was filled with amazing concerts, such as us supporting Sunrise Avenue on their latest Tour through Germany, has now come to an end.

As most of you probably know, we are currently working on new songs for our 2nd album.

This just makes us all the more excited to announce, that we will be headlining our own first tour through Germany in autumn.
